This notice explains what personal information Made Reel collects, why we collect it and what we do with it.

Who we are

Made Reel is run by Tony Povey, trading as Made Reel, in the United Kingdom. We are responsible for your personal information. If you have any questions about this notice or your information, email hello@made-reel.com.

What we collect

Enquiries: your name, email address, business name, product or shop link and anything else you tell us in our enquiry form or by email.
Project information: the product photos, links, brand details and survey answers you send us so we can create your content.
Billing details: the information we need to invoice you and keep business records.
Website logs: our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as IP addresses, to keep the website secure and working.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and send you information you ask for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
To create and deliver the content you order. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
To keep accounts and records we are required to keep by law. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.

We don’t sell your information, and we won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run Made Reel, and they only use your information to provide their service to us:

Netlify, which hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions.
Google Workspace, for email, file storage and booking calls. If you book a call, Google Calendar handles the booking.
AI image and video tools, which we use to create your content. We send these tools your product images and creative instructions, not your contact details.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t become a project: up to 12 months.
Client and billing records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
Your product photos and files: for as long as we’re working together, and deleted on request after that.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and our fonts are hosted on our own site. If that changes, we’ll update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to have it transferred to you. To make a request, email hello@made-reel.com. We’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
